2025 Portuguese Water Dog Health Survey
The 2025 PWD Foundation Health Survey provides the most comprehensive look at the health of Portuguese Water Dogs in more than 20 years. More than 3,300 dogs were represented, providing valuable information about health conditions, longevity, causes of death, and other aspects of health in the breed.
We are pleased to share these results as a resource for Portuguese Water Dog owners, breeders, veterinarians, and researchers. We hope the information will help advance understanding of the health of our breed and encourage continued research.
