Mickie Jagger

Odyseas Mickie Louise Jagger

Mickie was the beautiful brown girl that never met a stranger, worked hard whenever she was asked, found every tennis ball that fell from the heavens, stopped to smell the flowers and could sing a song and dance with the best of the Mick’s. Mickie was a once in a lifetime (perfect) dog that will always be missed. Rest easy sweet girl, the show must go on, heartbreak and all.

Boo

Kalista’s Tiburcio

In November 2021, we said our final goodbyes to our beloved Boo. We told him he was an exceptional boy and that he was dearly loved. Boo entered our lives as a tiny puppy with a big personality. Throughout the years Boo amazed us with his athletic and scenting abilities. He was always ready for an adventure no matter what it was. His sole purpose in life seemed to be pleasing us while simultaneously tormenting our other PWD. Boo was with us for only eight short years, not nearly enough time for this sweet boy.

Everyone loved Leo. For 13 years he changed the lives of countless children through his dedicated therapy work with those having special needs. He was their hero and had an ingrained sensitivity for the delicate emotions of a child. Leo looked at the world with wonder, energy and curiosity. His sense of humor was one rarely equaled by humans. But most of all he communicated love and warmth through his eyes. We shared our lives to the fullest and had some incredible talks together.

My deepest love and respect for him will always remain. Thanking you dear Leo, from the bottom of my heart.

Friends of Barb Crowther and Shelley Plucker make this donation in memory of Mister who Barb described as:

My true heart dog. He introduced me to so many things in life. He pushed me to my limits. He was my 1st tracking dog, obedience dog, Owner-Handled Top-20, water trial. He raised puppies with me, was an amazing therapy dog and was my support dog for so many times in life. He was forgiving of my mistakes and took such joy in our accomplishments. He taught me to laugh at myself. He was one of a kind. I will never know another dog like him.

We will always think that Potion was what God had in mind when he created the dog. Her titles speak to what she could do, but they are the tip of the iceberg of who she was.

She was confident and kind, smart and sweet, fun, fast and funny, athletic and intuitive, and we loved her beyond expression.

That hemangiosarcoma robbed us of another 7 years with her is a great sadness we will carry always. She was the perfect partner and best friend.

In a lifetime of dogs, Potion was the dog of a lifetime. I can only hope that when I close my eyes here for the last time, there will be a little white paw on my chest when I open them again.

Popeye crossed the Rainbow Bridge just a couple of weeks after his 9th birthday. Though his life was far too short, he was the center of our world for those nine years.

His accomplishments were amazing, well beyond anything we ever dreamed of. He was also a wonderful friend and companion, both for us and the many others he affected through his therapy work.

He took his work seriously, but he also brought humor and love to all that he touched.

We will think of him every day and try to focus on all the gifts he brought into our lives the last nine years.

Molly

Cypress Bay’s Unsinkable Molly Brown UD RE WWD CDC TDI

Molly crossed the Rainbow Bridge, where her many friends – Magellan, Macy, Morgan, Willy and others – were there to welcome her.

Molly was a Working Water Dog and had advanced titles in Obedience (UD) and Rally (RE). She was a therapy dog (TDI) and had a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) title.

In addition to her many accomplishments, she was simply a perfect dog. People who met her were always amazed at how friendly and gentle she was.

Molly is already making new friends across the Rainbow Bridge.

SunJoy

We chose your name long before we knew how much of a “joy” you would add to our lives. You were our beautiful, gentle and wonderful girl. You fought a courageous battle with Lymphoma and prevailed for 2 additional years. We will always have a special place for you in our hearts. We miss you terribly!

Perry was named for singer Perry Como, in the hopes that he would be as mellow. He was! He had the joyful spark of a puppy, but was sweet & calm. This made him an exemplary therapy dog. For 6 years, Perry supplied love and games of fetch at an assisted living facility. Two days before he died of hemangiosarcoma, Perry was in the emergency vet’s waiting room; he was wearing a cone, stitches lined his abdomen, yet he headed to the elderly persons nearby and gave affection– still on his mission.

Perry took very good care of me, too. His love was boundless, his kisses precious. He made me laugh, especially when he helped himself to only the gourmet items in the refrigerator whenever I forgot the padlocks.

Wherever he is now, he is providing love, laughs and joy.
